⁷ He admonished the crowds who came out to be baptized by him: “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? ⁸ Produce good fruits as proof of your repentance. Do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you, God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones.
